Bristol film: Giant Bolster by Piski Films

I’m lucky enough to live in one of the most artistic cities in the UK. From farmer’s markets and jazz festivals, to foggy bridges and tiny secret cinemas, there is just so much creative talent to be found right here in Bristol.

flicks1-1425201740Craft beer and jazz festivals aside though, I think it’s high time I share a few of my favorite filmic bits and pieces with you (this is a film blog, after all!).

Here is local filmmaker Sheridan James Lunt’s (Piski Films) beautiful sand animation, Gaint Bolster. The first of their new six-part web series animating Cornish folklore, Giant Bolster is a stop-motion animation made by drawing pictures in sand. You’ll love the melancholic colour palette used throughout, as well as the hypnotic animation technique.
